Jake Speed & the Freddies perform baseball-themed songs in between innings at the recreation of the first baseball game ever played by the first professional team, The Cincinnati Red Stockings. On May 4, 1859, exactly 150 years ago, the original nine Red Stockings crushed the Great Westerners in their first professional game. On May 4, 2019, exactly 150 years later, the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings Vintage Base Ball Team (a group of ballplayers who play the game under its original rules) will play a real game to commemorate the game that launched America's favorite pas ttime.
